Amentum is seeking a Supervisor to join our team!
This position will ensure maintenance job plans align with client directives, task orders, manufacture’s recommendations, and department supervision expertise to ensure a well-defined maintenance program.
Essential Responsibilities
Utilizes maintenance operation knowledge and experience to capture asset information, assign tasks analysis, and determine maintenance frequencies to create and maintain maintenance programs on various assets throughout the contract.
Work with department management and technicians to convert existing spreadsheets, databases and tracking tools into recurring preventive maintenance programs within Maximo.
Ensures maintenance job plans align with client directives, task orders, manufacture’s recommendations, and department supervision expertise to ensure a well-defined maintenance program.
In coordination with site personnel, estimate labor and material requirements for preventive maintenance tasks.
Create reports and forecasts of upcoming maintenance activities for the purposes of planning labor resources and material budgets. Provide input to contract deliverables as needed.
Understands and applies knowledge of work standards, statement of works and workload factors to ensure contractual obligations and expectations are demonstrated in daily operations.
Ensures maintenance instructions are in compliance with applicable environmental permits and regulations. Ensures operations maintenance tasks include safety procedures and identifies areas requiring additional administration or engineering controls and PPE, while striving to eliminate all potential safety hazards on jobsites.
Work with management to create Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and other tools to monitor asset performance.
Provide workforce training and create desk guides for maintenance programs once established. Working closely with department supervisors and administrative staff will be essential to the program’s success.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date record keeping, ensuring continuity in asset management operations. Keeps a well-defined tracking system for process, procedures and ensures data is available upon request by management and the customer.
Responsible for work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records.
Implements the commissioning portion of the assigned project through day-to-day direction of all field activities and is responsible for all job site activities.
Ensures timely and efficient execution of fieldwork.
Acts as the primary customer contact for all construction project field activities.
Ensures all commissioning and startup commissioning is in compliance with design specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, meets accounting requirements and is built to quality standards.
Functions as a Project Manager on a commissioning project or as the field manager on an engineering/ procurement/construction or commissioning management project.
Responsible to a member of the Project Managers job family or the Operations Manager job family.
Under general direction, responsible for managing very large and/or complex projects.
Conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard commission techniques.
Demonstrates the ability to work on unusually complicated projects
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Monitors and/or manages the entry of correct documentation and scheduled maintenance via Maximo/SAP.
Manages reactive/corrective maintenance as it is reported and distributes to available technicians.
Leads safety program for the worksite and maintains reporting associated with safety activities.
Audits work performance for safety actions and quality of work, and provide coaching as needed.
Reviews new job requests to differentiate between in-scope and non-scope work, and addresses accordingly.
Maintains effective performance of individual employees and the worksite team.
Reviews and approves time reporting.
Compiles, maintains and presents various reports to Amentum management and client teams.
Participate and Document Cost savings and Root Cause Analysis.
Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a Construction, Engineering or related discipline or demonstrated combination of equivalent education and experience.
Experience in a leadership position demonstrating the ability to analyze Facilities Maintenance related problems (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Cranes and Hoists, etc.); then recognize and determine solutions (engineered or otherwise) for resolution. This includes but is not limited to; opportunities for improved asset reliability, improved quality results, safer work conditions, and lower maintenance cost, improved work plans to increase efficiency.
Experience: 15+ years construction, commissioning, and project related experience.
Possesses a thorough knowledge of engineering disciplines, construction and job site management.
Knowledge of maintenance plans and ability to access maintenance tasks for multiple asset types.
Proficient with standard Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Maximo Scheduler or similar planning tool
Experience creating Power Point presentation and giving presentation in front of large audiences
Experience with the development and training of a multi-skilled technical workforce
Experience creating metrics and data mining for driving performance results
Experience utilizing Continuous Improvement disciplines such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, 4 M’s, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing a multi-skilled workforce to deliver positive results.
General working knowledge of industrial facility maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
Experience utilizing a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
Five years of maintenance experience in one of the following trades, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience: Industrial HVAC/ Industrial Mechanical Machine Repair, or Automotive Repair.
Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
May require additional licensing per state regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.
Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.
Requires the ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs as needed during a workday.

Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.
Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.
Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other Amentum, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.
Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations.
Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.
Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements:
Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
