In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission.
You will be working in an organization that’s mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. The entire section leverages agile and works to provide the entire enterprise with tools and applications to assist with operational data discovery, data exploitation, data analytics, and data visualization tools. The section works closely with the entire enterprise to ensure its applications and tools meet or exceed the needs of the mission.
The Data Architect (Senior) is a part of a team that will lead large scale data analysis projects to designs and delivers on premises and cloud-based applications. The Data Architect (Senior) is responsible to design and develop solutions to complex data sets. You will be leading the development of enterprise data architectures, strategies, and solution recommendations in support of business strategies. The Data Architect (Senior) leads design of high-level conceptual and logical models that facilitate a cross-system/cross functional view of data requirements and establishing processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata and takes steps to assure metadata accuracy, validity, and quality.
The Data Architect (Senior) will design and build relational and non-relational databases and translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions. The Data Architect (Senior) reviews object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.
Responsibilities:
• Designs and develops solutions to complex data sets. Leads the development of enterprise data architectures, strategies, and solution recommendations in support of business strategies. Leads design of high-level conceptual and logical models that facilitate a cross-system/cross functional view of data requirements. Establishes processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata and takes steps to assure metadata accuracy, validity, and quality. Provides leadership to system and local work groups. Designs and builds relational and non-relational databases. Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions. Reviews object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.
• Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others. Minimum of 8 years’ experience recommended. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
Requirements:
• Active Top Secret clearance
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with 6 years of related technical specialized experience
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or other related field
o In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements

Pay Transparency Verbiage

The base salary range for this position is $170k to $176K. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
