Purpose and Impact:

Amentum is searching for a Top-Secret cleared Database Administrator to join our team in Washington, DC. You will be working in an organization that’s mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. The entire section leverages agile and works to provide enhanced reporting and global searching capabilities to facilitate task management, cross-utilization, and address national intelligence priorities while protecting confidential data and sources.

The Database Administrator is a part of a team that will lead large-scale data analysis projects to design and deliver on premises and cloud-based applications. The Database Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining moderately complex databases. You will maintain database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design. You will administer and test computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems. The Database Administrator will coordinate changes to computer databases and may plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday 8-hour days onsite. Flexibility within 2-week pay period to reach 80 hours.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Designs, implements, and maintains moderately complex databases. Maintains database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design. Administer and test computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems. Coordinate changes to computer databases. May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
• Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• Minimum of 5 years of experience collectively with the following:
  • Database administration
  • Implementing data policies, procedures, and standards
  • Planning and development of an organization's enterprise data model
  • Resolving data conflicts
  • Managing data repositories

Clearance Required:

• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field.
• In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements

Minimum Years of Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with 3+ years of related technical specialized experience and a Bachelors degree

Pay Transparency Verbiage

The base salary range for this position is $164K to $172k. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

       

Compensation Details:

$137,000- $167,000
