Amentum has an opportunity for a DMSS Kit Trainer to support U.S. Fleet Cyber Command Pacific (FCC PAC), Joint Force Headquarters – Cyber (JFHQ-C) (Navy) Forward (FWD), and Cyber Group ONE by executing operations, actions, and procedures on behalf of the Director and Deputy Director of JFHQ-C (Navy), across the JFHQ-C (Navy) enterprise, NAVSPACE, Cyber Squadrons, and FCC staffs that enable JFHQ-C (Navy) mission requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop Quarterly Kit Updates (Fleet-wide): Perform OS, SIEM, and software updates; review and update system images for all four versions of the DMSS Kit; manage configuration lifecycle to ensure compliance and readiness; support additional update-related tasks as required
  • Equipment Training (Site-Specific): Instruct Sailors on basic DMSS Kit operations; provide training on post-mission cleanup procedures; demonstrate component replacement and image application; train and support 10+ Sailors per mission cycle; assist with other training needs as directed
  • Routine Maintenance (Site-Specific): conduct physical cleaning of servers and equipment; verify equipment functionality through self-tests; assess and document overall equipment condition; apply system and security patch updates; reimage equipment post mission; conduct ACAS scans and implement findings; perform additional maintenance tasks as needed
  • General Support: Provide flexible support for any additional mission, technical, or administrative requirements as necessary to ensure operational success.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Any combination of 10 years of military and/or government professional experience supporting a cyber or cryptologic mission.
  • Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and current CI Polygraph. Note: U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • At least three of the following certifications:
    • Redhat
    • VMWare/Vsphere
    • Windows / WDS
    • STIG exp
    • SCAP exp
    • ACAS exp
    • Ansible Scripting
    • Linux scripting
    • OS Imaging
    • NSM tools (zeek, suricata)
    • Elastic Stack
    • Splunk Architect Cert
    • Network +
    • Security +
    • CISSP
    • Elastic Engineer Cert
    • Patching methodology
    • Dell Hardware exp Professional

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in technical writing and editing, as well as cyber incident management, is preferred.
  • Experience in the U.S. Indo-Pacific theater of operations supporting offensive or defensive cyber operations.
  • The ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of the tools, systems, and infrastructure required to establish and maintain remote access environments that allow analysts to conduct remote analysis from CONUS based or forward deployed locations.
  • Experience with geographically distributed cyber operations.
  • Coordinated forward deployed and CONUS based cyber teams.

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $150K - $175K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
