Amentum is looking for an Electrician to join our team in Washington, DC. You will inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, maintain, and make necessary tests on all medium and low voltage utility systems, equipment, motors, MCC panels, generators, transformers, switch-gears, substations, and distribution systems.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Possess a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical apparatus and control circuitry maintenance.
Strong background in low voltage switchgear maintenance and repair
Thoroughly familiar with electrical test equipment
Knowledge of NEC regulations
Willingness to work rotational shifts if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
8+ years in the electrical trade working as Journeyman Electrician
Must have a Journeyman Electrician License
A willingness to work rotational shifts if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
Must be able to perform the required physical qualifications of the position, including:
the ability to lift or carrying up to 50 lbs;
stand and/or walk for prolonged/extensive amounts of time;
can use a ladder or lift and work on structures or equipment above ground level;
work in cramped or uncomfortable places and positions;
can push, pull, or lift heavy equipment, supplies or parts.
