The Electronic Technician Tradecraft or Labor Work involves the following:
• Basic repairing system and equipment to include detecting and diagnosing malfunctions, tearing down equipment, repairing or replacing part or components, or aligning, calibrating and testing the modified or repaired equipment.
• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance to keep equipment and systems in reliable condition
• Installing equipment in accordance with plans, specifications and detailed instructions or reinstalling repaired or modified equipment
• Fabricating electronic equipment in accordance with plans, specifications and instructions including constructing, assembling, arranging, mounting, or wiring electronic parts and components
• Making measurements to diagnose malfunctions to ensure equipment operates within prescribed standards.
The Electronic Technician Technical Work involves the following:
• Developing and designing test and repair equipment, analyzing repair practices or developing procedural instructions on methods and steps of equipment repairs.
• Developing maintenance standards and procedures, testing and evaluating new or modified systems, or analyzing the compatibility of interlocking components and systems
• Planning and directing the installation of complex systems and associate facilities, particularly where there are problems of site selections and construction
• Designing and analyzing circuits, determining feasibility of these designs, evaluating equipment
• Performance under varying environmental conditions, collecting data, or designing or modifying designs to achieve performance and cost objectives

Responsibilities:
• Must be able to assemble prototypes at the board level and integrate component boards into systems.
• Make modifications to existing hardware in an expeditious manner, often based on minimally documented design modifications.
• Test boards and assembled devices using commercial or special purpose test equipment
Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Top Secret Clearance and ability to pass Counter Intelligence polygraph
• Associate degree or equivalent and 3+ years of directly related experience.
Preferred:
• Monitor/logging computer systems for security threats
• Install any necessary security measures
• Any type of development/coding experience
• Installs and monitors hardware and software systems

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
