FUNCTION:
Ensures that laboratory and customer equipment is repaired and/or calibrated in full compliance with applicable instructions, procedures, and specifications. This includes:
Ensuring laboratory and customer equipment is maintained and calibrated in accordance with pertinent technical data.
Investigating customer complaints.
Maintaining Certificates of Calibration file for laboratory standards.
Performing Random Sample/In-process inspections on a periodic basis.
Conducting periodic inspections to ensure standards of safety and facility/environmental requirements are met.
Inspecting to insure that technical library publications are current.
Submitting periodic reports summarizing QA inspection data.
It is anticipated that Engineering Technicians will be assigned as these job descriptions state and other related specific tasking details and priorities will be determined and set by the Commander, KAFMB, and communicated to the Contractor lead.
An Associate’s degree in a relevant field, with at least three (3) years of practical experience providing calibrations and repairs in a calibration laboratory, and one (1) year of experience working in a United States Navy, or equivalent, QA position within the last (3) years. OR;
Completion of a U.S. military precision measurement and calibration program, a precision measurement and calibration school at an accredited school, or within a specialized calibration firm, and at least one (1) year of experience performing calibrations and repairs in a calibration laboratory, and one (1) year of experience working in a United States Navy, or equivalent, QA position within the last (3) years.
