Amentum is seeking a talented and driven Electrical Engineer to join our cutting-edge Radiation Test Engineering team in support of key U.S. Government programs. You’ll play a critical role in testing advanced systems and components for the Department of Defense; from planning and implementation to validation and mentoring junior engineers.

As a Radiation Test Electrical Engineer, your daily work will include:

  • Designing and executing component tests to validate performance and compliance. 
  • Partnering with environmental and modeling teams to support thorough characterization and evaluation. 
  • Collaborating with Configuration Management and Quality teams to update test fixtures, procedures and software. 
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports for delivery to stakeholders. 
  • Maintaining existing test fixtures, procedures and software. 
  • Supporting test migrations to new platforms and technologies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years electrical engineering experience 
  • Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software. Proven communications and analytical skills through work experience.
  • Experience with electronic component testing and characterization.
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and impedance analyzers.
  • Knowledge and experience with MIL-STD requirements.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and debug of electronic test circuits.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Must be a United States citizen.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with radiation testing 
  • Experience with DoD lab environment work
