Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Worker - Carpenter/Painter in support of the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission on Andros Island, Bahamas. Must be a citizen of the Bahamas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee to work as a carpenter/painter, performing maintenance carpentry and painting requirements for the base.
Fixing and maintaining various components of buildings, including walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and windows. Patching drywall, replacing damaged wood, and repairing or replacing doors windows and hardware. Repairs and replacing laminate, vinyl and ceramic flooring.
The employee should be able to work with minimal supervision and accept guidance from experienced personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
4 years working as a carpenter/painter.
Must have ability to read, interpret and apply instructions, publications and safety rules.
Strong understanding of building components and repair techniques.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, climbing and working in various conditions.
Must have a valid/current driver's license.
Proper use of hand and power tools and personal protective gear.
Must have experience working as a carpenter/painter in a maintenance, customer-oriented environment.
Adhering to safety protocols procedures and guidelines, company policy and procedures.
