Join a team of Research, Design, Test, & Evaluation (RDT&E) professionals who are identifying, developing, demonstrating, and assessing technologies and concepts to help protect America’s homeland in support of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Office of Mission and Capability Support (MCS).

Amentum is actively seeking a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst to support customers in a fast-paced environment by building operational and analytical geospatial mobile and desktop solutions. Products will be leveraged to respond to security incidents, protect critical infrastructure, and provide support for national security events.

The successful candidate will drive project success in collaboration with DHS Component staffs, contract team members, vendors, and other subject matter experts and supporting organizations.

The position is telework within the Continental U.S. Work will be accomplished during Eastern Time Zone working hours. Required hours may flex to meet mission requirements on occasion.

Essential Responsibilities:

• ​Serves as Amentum GIS Analyst for customer-focused ArcGIS project activities, receiving daily direction from Component personnel with parallel reporting to Amentum Program Management.
• Lead initiatives for the development of new capabilities in desktop, web-based, and mobile deployable solutions.
• Translate project roadmap features into well-defined product requirements.
• Establish maintenance and continuity procedures for existing deployed solutions.
• Inform leadership on product vision, schedule, strategy, features, and prioritization of work.
• Provide insight and subject matter expertise on products, features, and development initiatives.
• Seek and improve processes across deployed applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Entry on Duty/Public Trust suitability prior to start date
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years related work experience in GIS, computer science, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience with ArcGIS software or other geospatial technology
• Experience configuring and deploying ESRI’s Field Apps and Survey 123 mobile apps
• Experience configuring and deploying ArcGIS Dashboard and Experience Builder web applications
• Proficiency in software languages, such as .NET, Java, JavaScript, Python, HTML, and ArcGIS Arcade
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple parallel assignments and prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience assessing and prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
• Deadline-oriented and capable of self-management
• Ability to deliver quality work in a timely and efficient manner, in teams or individually
• Limited travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)/Public Trust suitability
• Active Secret security clearance
• Advanced proficiency in modern software languages, such as .NET, Java, JavaScript, Python, HTML, and ArcGIS Arcade
• ESRI Certifications in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Python, and/or Geodata Management
• Master's degree in GIS, computer science, or a related field
• Proven ability to define, manage, and deliver comprehensive geospatial solutions
• Prior experience with implementing software solutions and release of enterprise software solutions
