Position Duties:

  • Develop HiL applications to support vehicle, system and sub-system testing.

  • Manage and direct the design, evaluation, selection, and integration of HiL technologies to meet the needs of the business.

  • Participate in HiL technical architecture and design decision making process.

  • Upgrade and diagnose test stand infrastructure as required.

  • Provide expert knowledge for the management and integration of critical components of HiL infrastructure.

  • Integrate HiL control strategies into existing mechanical test systems.

  • Interact with Ford engineers and technicians to ensure the users, test systems and infrastructures are properly supported and data integrity is maintained.

  • Develop and implement test automation functions such as test setup, test execution, data collection and report generation and storage.

  • Participate in the development of new equipment specifications to ensure that any new equipment meets all testing requirements.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering is required

  • Previous experience working with dSPACE, Vector CANoe / CANalayzer, LabView.

  • Knowledge of electronics and previous experience in electrical instrumentation including signal conditioning (i.e. transducers, accelerometers, etc.) is required.

  • Excellent leadership, communications and interpersonal skills; Ability to function as part of a team and work cooperatively toward team goals

  • Knowledge in automotive technologies, the laboratory/testing environment, and test & measurement technologies.

  • Expertise integrating HiL control systems with third party actuators, PLCs, etc.

  • Qualified candidates will work well under pressure, demonstrate excellent problem solving and creativity, and be able to quickly evaluate new information and make appropriate decisions.

  • Ability to develop & deliver business cases and presentations, project documentation to be delivered to upper management

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS or Higher in ME/EE.

  • Expertise in deploying realtime data acquisition control solutions on a broad range of industry standard platforms/operating systems, including:  MS Windows, dSPACE, Vector CANoe / CANalayzer.

Highly skilled and experienced in HiL programming and the integration with various test and measurement systems to achieve test system automation.
