Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Information and Communication Electronic Technician​ to join their team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia.

THE ROLE

As the Information and Communication Electronic Technician, technical knowledge will be requested to support the OASIS departments when needed, you will be responsible under minimal supervision to perform periodic maintenance tasks, complete trouble failures and job orders for a range of systems managed by the Information Technology Team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

Responsibilities/Duties

• Conduct preventative maintenance work on all electronic systems maintained by IT.
• Perform planning of equipment, tools and materials needed to complete tasks.
• Undertake initial fault-finding analysis and implement solutions.
• Maintain reliable operation of all aspects of the Security system.
• Maintain, repair site electronics e.g. CATV, DVD’s and Projectors.
• Install and repair fibre optic networks associated with IT system infrastructure.
• Maintain of electronic circuits and schematic diagrams.
• Perform tasks for project efforts as required.
• Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements.
• Any other reasonable duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

• Formal qualifications in Electronics or related discipline

Desirable

• ACMA certification – Coaxial
• Qualification in Terrestrial Digital Transmission
• Certificate III
• Certificate IV
• Trade Qualification
• Diploma
• Undergraduate Degree
• Post Graduate Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to fluently read, write and speak English
• Australian or US citizen

EHS REQUIREMENT
