Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Inventory Specialist include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging IT products
  • Performing quality checks on stored inventory and identifying inventory that is End of Sale/End of Service Life
  • Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders
  • Studying sales numbers and forecasting future inventory needs
  • Assisting with validating parts requests against an Authorized Master Parts List
  • Supporting a wide array of customers as part of a complex team of contractors and government personnel.
  • Processing property inventories, equipment transfers, turn-in, and other property accountability across a large portfolio.
  • Conducting property inventory of all government furnished equipment and assigned property supporting various efforts.
  • Providing logistics expertise while coordinating with diverse skillsets.
  • Overseeing equipment delivery and property transfers between government entities.
  • Providing recommendations with regards to best practices and develop new processes to increase performance and efficiency.
  • Ensuring all property accountability documentation associated with orders is completed and updated in the inventory management database.
  • Serving as the focal point of ongoing operations and rapid delivery of equipment and services to the customer.
  • Ensuring orders are fulfilled rapidly and on time to meet project schedules.
  • Working closely with project managers and functional leads to ensure seamless coordination of schedules in accomplishment of assigned tasks

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using integrated logistics systems to track and manage property
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Power BI, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (50%)
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations, and to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Must be able crouch, kneel, or stoop for the intention of performing inventories
  • Must be able to read fine print
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unaided
  • Must be able to physically relocate equipment and property


Clearance Required:

  • Must have active Top Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI


Minimum Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience


Preferred:

  • Experience with IBM Maximo
  • Experience with Service Now
