About the opportunity

Energy Programmes is one of our newest Business Units and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Energy Power station.

Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

Amentum are currenting looking to recruit an Information Management Systems Support Engineer (Aveva CAD Support). The IMS/CAD support service is related to local support of CAD engineering tools (mainly

AVEVA E3D & DRAW, PDMS & DRAFT, DIAGRAMS and ENGINEERING). The IMS Support Engineer will be responsible for file and script management and configuration of the CAD resources as part of the IMS tasks.

Support to the engineering teams working with CAD applications by performing the following tasks and activities:

  • Provide expertise and support on AVEVA Software
  • Coordination of CAD activities including new requests and resolution of CAD technical issues for a large number of CAD tools on behalf of the teams within EDF EPR Engineering UK
  • Definition, proposition and follow-up of action plans and roadmaps
  • Establishment of a constant contact with the EDF EPR Engineering UK
  • Engineering teams, the CAD teams in France and the local IT technical support • Development of macro and tools in order to deploy quick responses for engineering needs
  • Delivery of training to end-users when necessary
  • As part of the service there will be regular contact with the corresponding teams in France (Edvance and EDF DSPTN) and reports to IMS-IT Lead of Edvance UK

Qualifications

  • Strong Experience with AVEVA CAD software (at least 5 years of experience)
  • Experience with coding is essential in order to produce scripts to automate our activities (database information to sort, process, compare, analyse daily tasks..)
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent
  • Experience with coding (PowerShell , Python , PML)
  • Be comfortable with Windows and IT technologies
  • Understanding of script language and web technologies
