Amentum is seeking an IT Program Manager for a large-scale contract operated in the Washington, DC metro area to consolidate and modernize IT, cybersecurity, and network services across all 50 states and territories.  You will provide management, direction, administration, quality assurance, and leadership of the execution of this contract. One of your strong points is your eagerness to put the customer’s needs at the forefront of your problem solving.  Your strong leadership skills combined with your extensive experience managing large scale Enterprise IT Service Delivery and Management Programs with a global footprint will make you an ideal candidate for this role.

We are pipelining candidates for a future contract award.

The candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Support the creation of and provide leadership for an enterprise endeavor to modernize a Federal customer’s IT support model.
  • Serve as a change agent, liaising across government, Amentum, and subcontractor teams to create lasting technological, process, and cultural change.
  • Manages day-to-day technical operations including all aspects of systems integration, engineering design, material procurement, fabrication, systems assembly and installation, environmental testing, logistics, fielding, and follow-on support.
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract support activities.  Interface with government personnel.
  •  Formulate and review project feasibility studies, determine costs, ensure conformance to work standards. 
  • Interpret policies, purposes, and goals of the organizations for subordinates. 
  • Identify, acquire and utilize company resources to achieve project technical objectives. 
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program, and technical personnel.  
  • Responsible for managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort. 
  • Provides direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures. 
  • Provides recommendations for resolution of technical problems to the Government staff and team.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ten years of senior Leadership/Program management experience planning, directing, coordinating, and managing proposed methodologies and approach for a large-scale Enterprise IT Service Delivery and Management Program with a contract value of $1 Billion+, multiple places of performance worldwide, and a dispersed workforce
  • A minimum of five years of experience implementing project management principles and managing, tracking, and coordinating a wide range of actions, documents, and tasks through completion. 
  • Experience managing subcontractors, cost, budget, and milestones
  • Experience with frequent procurement of materials and equipment and employee relations
  • Current Program Management Institute (PMI) certification (i.e Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification)
  • Possess an ITIL® v4 ITIL® 4 Managing Professional or a higher certification 
  • Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline related to project management or information technology.
  • Experience effectively directing and managing contract functions involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks of similar size and scope to this program. 
  • Possess the appropriate certifications to achieve DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level III.
  • Experience with performance-based and award-fee contracts similar in size and scope to the requirements of this program

  •  This position is performed in a traditional office environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Hiring salary range is $190k-$250K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and the abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
