Amentum is seeking a Knowledge Manager to support our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission requiring disciplined knowledge capture, operational data management, and leadership visibility across mission activities. This role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of mission-critical information across DHS platforms, enabling informed decision making, risk reduction, and efficient mission execution. 

Responsibilities The Knowledge Manger provides knowledge management and operational data oversight in support of DHS mission execution. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage daily on-site operational knowledge updates, ensuring real-time tracking and accuracy of mission-critical data.
  • Execute primary data submissions to NISOS Ascend, leveraging the platform's analytics as a key cost-control measure to mitigate organizational risk.
  • Maintain and update case files and team assignments within Trackvia to provide leadership with full visibility into project lifecycles and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the initial entry of operational data into DHS SharePoint; monitor and verify subsequent updates from Team Leads and Senior Analysts to ensure documentation integrity.
  • Conduct routine reviews and quality checks of knowledge artifacts, case documentation, and operational records to ensure compliance with DHS standards, formatting requirements, and internal controls.
  • Assist the Amentum Mission Manager in the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize workflows and enhance mission efficiency. 
  • Serve as a central coordination point for operational knowledge flow, ensuring timely dissemination of updates, issue tracking, and alignment across mission stakeholders.
  • Support audits, data calls, and ad hoc reporting requirements by compiling, validating, and presenting accurate operational information as requested.

  • Platforms: NISOS Ascend, TrackVia, DHS SharePoint
  • Data Types: Case files, operational metrics, taskings and assignment data
  • Environment: Hybrid, Amentum Operational Environment with strict data handling and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust
  • Bachelor’s degree (8–10 years exp), Master’s degree (6–8 years exp), or PhD (3–5 years exp). 
  • Demonstrated experience in knowledge management, operational data management, or mission support roles within a federal or regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume operational data, maintain documentation integrity, and support leadership decision-making.

       

Compensation Details:

$110,000-$158,000

       

The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
