Amentum is looking for a Lead Electrical Designer to work out of our Englewood, CO office. The Lead Designer is responsible for initiating and developing engineering drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project's electrical engineers. The Lead Designer will work under the direction of the Electrical Design Supervisor and the Supervising Electrical Engineer to develop and maintain digital 3D databases and models, develop electrical engineering drawings and sketches of high complexity, check and review electrical drawings, review other discipline and vendor drawings and coordinates work with other project team members.
Minimum Requirements:
10+ years of progressive design experience in electrical systems.
Must have in depth experience in Electrical 2D and 3D design.
Must be proficient in AutoCAD MEP.
Must have an advanced level of experience in cable tray, lighting, power & control, underground grounding, lightning protection and instrumentation design plans and details.
Must have an advanced level of experience in design development and drawing preparation.
Must have advanced experience in using cable management systems and cable routing.
Must have advanced experience of performing lighting calculations in visual.
Must have a basic understanding of engineering calculations.
Must have advanced experience in performing electrical Material Take Off (MTO) activities.
Must have advanced experience in project change control.
Must have U.S. Citizenship. Must not have Dual Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree in computer aided drafting with an electrical emphasis or equivalent experience
MicroStation, and/or Revit design experience.
Government facility (DOE, DOD, Army Corps of Engineers) project experience
Compensation & Benefits
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $60 - $65 Hourly (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
