Amentum is seeking a Lead Supply Technician to be responsible for the acquisition and management of parts and related components associated with the MQ-9 series of UAS to include the aircraft and Ground Control Stations (GCS). The position works within both military and commercial acquisition systems using best practices and processes to ensure the timely availability of parts and components to support and sustain operational requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead the site’s supply and support functions for the Site Manager.
Coordinate shipping between CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Manage obstacles to ensure shipped items deliver on time.
Maintain awareness of inbound and outbound shipments through delivery.
Communicate expected delivery dates to customer.
Liaise with US Embassy representatives to ensure shipped items have a smooth transition through customs on arrival and departure.
Learn and remain proficient in all systems required by Amentum and/or the customer. This position enables a unique supply/support system and may require the use of varying systems such as IMDS, ILSS, TCMax, OOMA, NALCOMIS, Excel, etc.
Manage assigned Supply/Support Technicians to support Site Manager.
Provide training to Supply/Support Technicians as appropriate to ensure qualifications match customer demand.
Performs all other duties as assigned by the Site Manager.
Minimum Knowledge
Must have at least an active Secret US Government clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance
Must have Associate’s degree, or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum
Minimum of five-to-eight years actual and recent technical supply management experience required
Must have strong understanding of military logistics processes and procedures applicable to US Navy and/or US Air Force logistics, purchasing, and management requirements.
Must have understanding and working knowledge of CNAFINST 4790.2 NAMP and DAFI 21-101.
Must be able to communicate effectively through both written and oral communications.
Must be able to work within a team of professional UAS maintainers and aircrew while supporting military customers at various assigned locations.
Must have strong computer skills that enable work within logistics, supply, maintenance processes and procedures that facilitate timely supply of parts and components.
Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Must have current/active State Issued Driver’s License.
Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, to include pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment.
Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date.
Must be able to travel on CONUS/OCONUS deployments.
For OCONUS deployments, must have valid U.S. Passport with a minimum of two years remaining with at least two facing pairs (four total) of blank Visa pages.
