Role Title:  Life Cycle Cost Lead

Role Description:  
As the System of Systems (SoS) Life Cycle Cost Lead you will manage and provide Life Cycle Costing Analysis (LCCA) support to the AIR6500 Series IAMD Sub-Program and individual AIR6500 projects in relation to the successful execution of the Air Defence Systems Projects, spanning work on Project Life Cycle Costing tasks in support of both individual projects (working to their PMs) and synchronised Program Level Integration costing goals that benefit multiple projects within the Program. You will have an overarching focus on identifying comprehensive cost structures, elements and opportunities for the most efficient and effective realisation of Integrated Support System (incorporating ILS/IPS) and Product Transition; you will enable cost comparison, cost-effectiveness, sustainability of readiness objectives, support to engineering and logistics support decision making and the monitoring, reduction and control of LCC throughout the materiel capability lifecycle. Your additional work capacity will be directed to ILS/IPS core tasks within your logistics engineering skillsets, separate from “costing” and “life-cycle costing” requirements.

This may include but will not be limited to the following:
- assisting with the definition, development and documentation for Support System requirements,
- reviewing and providing input into CoA requirements for Support Systems acquired by AIR6500 series projects,
- assisting the broader CID ILS team in the provision of input into AIR6500 requirements for each Capability Release and Program Increment (PI) as they relate to Support System realisation,
- reviewing plans and documentation for Support System elements delivered by the AIR6500 Strategic Partner and project-specific Primes, and
- participation in Technical Reviews related to Support System realisation throughout the project lifecycle.


Essential Requirements:
- The candidate will have a solid understanding of CASG ML Program with a specialist LSA-centric Cost Modelling skillset
- would ideally have a level of aligned Capability Development background, a strong applied appreciation of the ‘Capability Life Cycle’ as expressed in the One Defence Capability System, Defence Logistics and/or Engineering experience and qualifications and a detailed appreciation of the structure of the ADF, its Services, their ILS and FIC requirements, and the war fighting roles that are performed.
