Description of Duties:

The Microsoft Windows Subject Matter Expert (SME) supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

• Play a crucial role in managing, deploying, and ensuring the reliability and security of Windows-based server and desktop infrastructures.

• Design, deploy, configure, manage, and maintain Windows Servers (2016, 2019, 2022) and Windows (10,11) desktop environments.

• Configure and manage Group Policy Objects (GPO) for managing workstations, servers, and users for both functional and security requirements including DISA STIG implementation.

• Build, maintain, and upgrade Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) for use with Microsoft Windows 11 OS workstation and laptop builds, Server 2022, 2019, and 2016 builds, server and workstation security updates and patching, application deployments and software/licensing and compliance reports.

• Manage user identities and access, including Active Directory,

• Use automation tools including advanced Microsoft PowerShell scripting.

• Develop automated solutions using Microsoft Power Bi, Power Platform, integrating it seamlessly with Microsoft 365 and Azure services.

Basic Requirements:

• Must have 10, or more, years of directly related/relevant experience

• Must have 8, or more, years supporting enterprise-scale Windows as a Subject Matter Expert.

• Must have advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) and Windows 10 and 11 Enterprise, GPOs, and security configuration.

• Must have experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, GPO, Azure AD/Entra ID, Windows PKI, Clustering, SQL Server, and Networking.

• Must have at least one of the following certifications: CCNA Security; CySA+; GICSP; GSEC; Security+ CE; SSCP; or other comparable security certification.

• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, IT, or related field

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

• Have knowledge of Cisco UCS compute, UCS Manager and Intersight.

• Have experience with modern NetApp storage arrays.

• Have experience with VMware vCenter, ESXi, and especially SRM.

• Have experience with Linux server management, especially Oracle Linux or other Red Hat Linux based distributions.

• Have experience with advanced Windows server features such as Clustering, as well as supporting Microsoft SQL database servers.

This position is expected to pay $ 135 ,000 - $ 155 ,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
