This is a pre-award opportunity located on Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.

Perform the services and conduct all operations with applicable practices and referenced publications incorporated herein. The Port Control Tower is one of the primary locations for liaison between in port ships and island commands, as well as for the coordination of emergency response. This position demands a high degree of responsibility.  Personnel must be fluent in English, including verbal and written communications.
Must have working knowledge of Navigational Skills such as Chart Reading, Plotting, Figuring Time and Distance and familiarization with Navigational Tools.
Must have knowledge of Port Control Schedules.
