We are hiring a Project Coordinator to support Strategic Microelectronics at NSWC Crane.

As a Project Coordinator, you will support technical projects involving microelectronic component test and evaluation.  This is non-supervisory and although a background in microelectronics is helpful, it is not necessary.  The organization will provide OTJ and peer support to help the incumbent succeed.  The team performing the work will be a mix of engineers, scientists, technicians, and quality assurance professionals.  Candidate should be willing and open to learning.  Desired qualities are leadership / management skills, ability to follow systems / processes / procedures, ability to manage time/tasks, and familiarity with DoD practices and procedures. Familiarity with iPDM and previous experience in managing projects in a technical field is a plus.  

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support technical projects involving microelectronic component test and evaluation
  • Facilitating meetings, tracking testing, updating the testing schedule, following up on action items and test schedules
  • Maintain customer required metrics
  • Create and update test execution verification matrices for test requirements applicable to assigned project.
  • Create and update applicable traveler templates for testing of parts.
  • Populate and upload travelers for test groups.
  • Coordinate review and approval of discrepancy reports.
  • Coordinate creation, review, and approval of test reports.
  • Coordinate shipments of parts for offsite testing.
  • Support Change Review Board in reviewing documentation affecting assigned project and coordinating with the applicable Subject Matter Experts.
  • Create and update workflows in data repository and Task Planning Tool
  • Track and ensure testing to customer schedule
  • Performing all other position related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience; in lieu of degree, 8 years of relevant experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work and multi-task
