Our Nuclear Projects group is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy, we deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering, and construction.

We are looking to add Project Engineers to our growing team on our SFHP project located in Scoville, ID. In this role, you will lead a team and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for complex projects. You will participate in project planning, proposal review, and will own the engineering elements of capital estimates. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the engineering activity (all disciplines) on a smallproject, or designated portions of a project
  • Plans and directs engineering assignments on the project
  • Possesses technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing,executing, and coordinating these assignments
  • Ensures the facilities are designed in a safe, reliable, andefficient manner in accordance with policies and all applicablelaws, regulations, authorization basis, codes, standards andtechnical requirements
  • Represents Engineering on the project and with the client toresolve technical questions, expedite procurements, co-ordinateconstruction interfaces and as required to coordinate work
  • Ensures work process execution and technical adequacy are inaccordance with contract and industry standards
  • Coordinates engineering effort with Project Manager,Procurement, Construction, Startup, Health and Safety (HSE) and Project Controls
  • Prepares or directs the preparation of project studies, reports,forecasts, special engineering reports and turnover packages


Qualifications

  • Requires bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
  • Preferential will be in field experience across either EPCM and/or EPC execution models on major, complex projects
  • Located within driving distance to the job site in Scoville, ID
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills must be computer-literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills
  • Proficient planning and problem-solving skills
  • Proven customer relationship skills are essential
  • Demonstrated commitment to Health and Safety (HSE)


Essential Functions:

• Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
