We are seeking a Python Software Developer to join our team of passionate individuals. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the nation’s security and intelligence mission.

As a Python Software Developer, you will transition the functionality of the PostGIS database and the functionality of the Jupyter Notebook based on customer direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop prototypes answering new questions as well as providing better answers to existing questions based on customer direction
  • Develop a series of user facing query forms to leverage stored data to enable analysts to answer geospatial questions
  • Provide development support to analytic front ends to verify conformity and performance to proposed GUI designs.
  • Provide operational maintenance and support for Customized/Do It Yourself analytics.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for metric generation, usage, and applications


Requirements

  • Strong Python skills using PySpark, developing software in Red Hat Linux (versions 3 - 5+)
  • Experience with Jupyter Notebooks
  • Experience with Machine Learning


Clearance Required:

  • Active TS/SCI Poly


Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5-years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 3-years of relevant experience. An Associate's degree plus 7-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 9-years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position
  • Computer Science (CS) degree or related field


Preferred:

  • Experience with GHOSTMACHINE analytic development
  • Familiarity with Query Time Analytics and DX
  • Familiarity with Redshift
  • Familiarity with Pandas
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL

The base salary range for this position is $140 to 145K. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
