About the OpportunityNuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
The JDO Quality Technical Assistant will be a member of the JDO Quality Team in the Joint Design Office (JDO). This role will support the JDO Quality Manager in delivering various Quality arrangements, support wider issue identification, resolution and improvement planning plus delivery of workshops.
Role responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day arrangement interface management with other processes
- Resolving minor queries raised by the internal JDO teams & support the wider JDO Quality team with management of external queries when required
- Supports the JDO Quality Engineer in development & roll out of arrangements
- Support the JDO Quality Manager in any interface related investigations
- JDO Quality Manager in Assurance related activities
- JDO Quality Engineer in Quality Control related activities
- Wider JDO in understanding external standards (e.g. ISO 9001) & Project Requirements (e.g. GQAS)
- Development & monitoring of various continual improvement activities in the JDO
- Activities related to investigations and observation/incident management
- Organise & support Quality related meetings/workshops & produce minutes of meetings
- Support JDO Quality Manager in wider required activities to deliver team objectives
- Relevant degree qualification or demonstrable relevant experience.
- Experience working in a nuclear, engineering or design office environment
- Experience with the development and implementation of Quality/Integrated Management Systems
- How to support Quality Assurance
- Ensuring adequate Quality Controls
- Implementing & monitoring good sustainable Quality KPIs to safeguard process output
- Experienced in complex multi organisational stakeholder management
- Working knowledge of the ISO 9001: 2015 standard’s requirements
- Knowledge of how Quality/Integrated Management Systems work
