Role Title: R&D Support

Role Description:

Located within the SED Arctic OTHR Exports R&D team and working with the DSTG Capability and Program Exports teams, the Exports R&D Support Officer will conduct activities to enable the successful delivery of agreed outcomes to the HF Exports R&D Program.
Working under broad directions, responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
1.    Exports R&D workforce support

  • Assist with on-boarding of Exports R&D contractors/OSPs. 
  • Arrange desktop ICT and office facilities to support Exports.
  • Arrange relevant staff training to support Exports.

2.     Exports Records management

  • Store all relevant Exports related project artefacts in the appropriate Objective area, e.g. document releases, meeting agendas/minutes and contractor timesheets. 
  • Liaise with the Objective workgroup coordinators to manage access privileges. 
  • Assist DSTG and CASG in managing the IP register.

3.     Exports R&D Events organisation. 

  • Manage the list of attendees and invitations. 
  • Book venues or SVTC bridge and arrange catering.
  • Confirm event details and provide escort to visitors.

4.    Group travel for Exports. a. Prepare OVA and other necessary approvals for DSTG group travel. b. Liaise with CTM for group travel bookings. 
5.    Exports liaison functions. 

  • Liaise with DSTG Program to provide and update budget inputs/costings. 
  • Coordinate with CASG to assist in procuring items identified in the Exports R&D direct cost spreadsheet.
  • Assist in the preparation of documents including draft presentations & reports as requested, and their distribution where applicable. 
  • Further develop and maintain an Exports R&D RACI across DSTG.

Essential Requirements:

  • Eligible to access US Export Controlled (ITAR) information    
  • Relevant experience as per above
