We are seeking an experienced and reliable Removalist to join our team. This role involves transporting furniture and white goods between warehouses and residential properties, ensuring safe handling and compliance with workplace health and safety standards.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Transport furniture and white goods between warehouses and residential properties using various modes of equipment and transport
  • Packing/unpacking, scanning, labelling, and loading items securely and safely for transport
  • Construction of new furniture
  • Report observed discrepancies in stock levels, transactions, and serial numbers
  • Use of computer systems to record times and read emails
  • Maintain health and safety within the workplace by promoting safety awareness initiatives, discussions and trainings, encouraging a safety focused culture and participating and reviewing risk assessments for those under their supervision.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Essential

  • Previous experience in the transportation industry.

Desirable

  • Cert IV in Logistics or Supply chain
  • Equivalent demonstrated experience

TICKETS AND LICENCES

Minimum Essential

  • Drivers License (HR endorsement)
  • Forklift License

Desirable

  • CPR
  • White Card
  • First Aid

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – Minimum Essential

Minimum Essential

  • 3 years’ experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with varied stakeholders
  • Experience with MS Office operating system

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS

  • The ability to lift heavy items for an extended period.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT

It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.

STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS

All personnel assigned shall be:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • AN Australian citizen.
  • Able to fluently read, write and speak English

EHS REQUIREMENT

All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health and safety requirements.   • Completing work tasks in a safe manner

  • Red-Carding a Job - Employee right and responsibility to “STOP WORK” if a job is unsafe or possess a danger to the environment
