Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rigger to join our team and support lifting and rigging operations across construction, industrial, and offshore sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, inspecting, and operating rigging equipment to safely move heavy loads and machinery

This role is Temporary role - Weekly paid - Fully on-site

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and prepare loads for lifting and movement.

  • Set up, align, and level heavy equipment machinery.

  • Select and prepare appropriate rigging gear (slings, shackles, pulleys, beams, clamps, bolts).

  • Conduct pre-use inspections of rigging equipment for wear, damage, and defects.

  • Attach loads securely using correct rigging techniques.

  • Signal and communicate with crane operators and team members during lifts.

  • Maintain and repair rigging equipment as needed.

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including site-specific protocols.

  • Dismantle rigging equipment post-operation and ensure proper storage.
     

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in rigging operations.

  • NVQ3 in Moving Loads or equivalent.

  • CCNSG safety passport or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with UK safety standards (e.g., LOLER, PUWER, OSHA).

  • Strong understanding of rigging gear and heavy machinery.

  • Ability to work at heights and in noisy or harsh environments.

  • Good mathematical skills and spatial awareness.

  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy equipment.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
