The Senior Aircraft Maintenance Manager will provide support to the program management, regional management and site management by manage and coordinate work across assigned locations to include but not limited to:
Manage the program operations and day to day tasks across all sites.
Coordinate with Government representatives to provide information and services per the Contract.
Serves as the Regional Maintenance Manager with responsibility for planning, managing, and directing the activities of the aviation maintenance mission which include repair, rebuild, fabrication, and/or modification of major end items and secondary items (e.g. engines, transmissions, rotor heads, Flexible Engine Test Stands (FEDS), rotor blades associated with complex rotary wing aircraft systems) for the supported units within area of operations.
Interfaces with supported unit’s maintenance managers, Company Commanders, and Government staff to balance priorities and workload according to mission requirements.
Uses extensive knowledge of rotary wing aviation maintenance, back shop operations, and procedures in the U.S. Army environment to independently coordinate and integrate contractor personnel to accomplish the PWS Aviation Sustainment mission.
Acts as regional focal point for rotary wing aviation support and is responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of aircraft weapon systems and its engines, airframes and components in an efficient and effective manner and for resolving problems or notifying Government within its directed mission.
Plans, schedules and coordinates work operations for accomplishment by contractor personnel assigned to the activity within schedules and priorities established. Analyzes work schedules, determines manpower, equipment and material requirements taking into consideration the occupations involved, availability of manpower and equipment, deadlines and other work projects assigned.
Meets with management officials and Government representatives on a regular basis to provide information regarding progress on projects, discuss issues and recommend solutions to resolve problems. Schedules meetings to keep abreast of accomplishing schedules within appropriate time frames, manpower and materials problems, etc. Coordinates with appropriate personnel to provide information or to obtain required support services such as facilities, security, transportation, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Ten (10) years of Aviation Maintenance experience.
Five (5) years of Supervisory experience.
Three (3) years of US Army Aviation Rotary wing maintenance experience.
Two (2) years of US Army Aviation maintenance supervisory experience.
Three (3) years of Program Management experience in Aviation Maintenance Operations.
Three (3) years of Program Management experience with an international scope.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work site.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business management or related field Preferred.
Effective leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
Ability to work under pressure and continuously meet deadlines.
