About the Opportunity

Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.

The Project

The SIXEP Continuity Plant, being delivered by the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) at Sellafield, will ensure the site's existing Site Ion Exchange Effluent Plant (SIXEP) facility can continue its vital work for decades to come. The newbuild SCP facility will play a vital part in Sellafield's purpose to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.

The Role

We are looking for Senior Control Systems Engineer to undertake detail design and design support to manufacturing/construction/commissioning activities on the SCP project to deliver the Control Systems engineering scope on a project.

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer some of your responsibilities could include:

• Development of Sequence Interaction Diagrams

• Production of MIMIC Drawings and Specifications

• Production of SCADA and PLC User Requirement Specifications

• Understanding and interpreting Process Plant Sequence Interaction Definition Documents.

• Developing and interpreting Network Architecture drawings

• Interpreting Engineering Flow Diagrams (or P&IDs)

• Undertaking Control System testing at the manufacturing premises

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer you will already:

• Degree/HNC Qualified in Electrical Engineering, Ideally MIET, Chartered

• Experience of control systems within a working plant and shall demonstrate good working knowledge of systems as well as demonstrable experience within many projects.

• Knowledge of project lifecycle

• Experience of working in the industrial regulated environment
