Amentum is seeking an experienced Senior Submarine LAN technician to provide full-time support to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in Norfolk, VA.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical assistance in support of software/hardware-related issues

  • Provide the ship's force with recommended solutions to equipment/software-related failures

  • Assist the ship's force as necessary with hands-on technical support

  • Provide crew training during assistance/assessment visits

  • Assist with SubLAN modernization efforts

  • Identify failed components, and assist as necessary in obtaining replacement parts

  • Provide support for non-SubLAN laptops/workstations

  • Assist with LAN Transitions and Grooms

Minimum Requirements

  • Specialized experience: Six (6) years of full-time engineering experience in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, or repair of submarine electronics systems and equipment. Experience in evaluating the material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective actions

  • General experience: Eight (8) years of  full-time technical experience in the design, installation, test, or repair of electronics systems and equipment

  • Prior Submarine/Navy LAN Administration experience

  • Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.
