Role Title: SoS Integration Lead
Role Description:
AIR6500 is seeking the services a Systems Engineering Lead who will work within the Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) Program for the AIR6500 Joint Air Battle Management System Project.
The Systems Engineering Lead will be required to identify systems engineering risks and quantify, manage and implement mitigation actions to address risk. Whilst this may be within the technical domain, there is an expectation that the Systems Engineering Lead will contribute to risk management across the multi-disciplined AIR6500 Program.
The Systems Engineering Lead will report to the AIR6500 Project Engineering Manager (PEM) and be required to liaise and engage with other functions within the broader IAMD as directed by the PEM. There may also be engineering role requirements to engage with other CASG organisations.
Primary Responsibilities
The Lead Systems Engineer’s tasks include:
• co-ordination, elicitation and development of AIR6500 FPS requirements and support the AIR6500
OCD change management;
• assisting the Program Safety Advisor in the development and maintenance of the Safety Case and Safety Reporting documentation in accordance with the System Safety Program Plan;
• co-ordination of Commonwealth involvement in Industry-led verification and validation of system
requirements.
• leading and providing oversight for the development and maintenance of project engineering artefacts in the above areas of responsibility and technical certification (specifications, plans); and
• Working in partnership with the AIR6500 Project Engineering Manager lead a small team of
engineers to deliver solutions to ever evolving systems engineering challenges in the AIR6500 project.
Essential Requirements:
The Systems Engineering Lead must be able to access ITAR/US Export Technology Control, and as such cannot be from, have strong ties to, or be a dual citizen of a prescribed/prohibited tier 1 or tier 2 country.
▪ NV1 security clearance
▪ Tertiary qualifications in an engineering field or related technical discipline.
▪ Must have minimum 10+ years post graduate engineering experience.
▪ Previous experience within the ADF Capability Life Cycle.
▪ Strong verbal communications coupled with strong technical writing skills.
