About the Opportunity:Owing to expansion within our Defence and Security Business Unit, we are currently recruiting for our growing Supportability Team.
As a result, we are seeking individuals who have a passion for working with our clients to improve the effectiveness of their existing processes and to ensure the delivery and sustainment of optimised and value for money support solutions. The roles can be high profile, demanding and high tempo which require a thorough understanding of the Through Life Support and Through Life Capability Management and the associated activities that underpin the dynamic defence environment.
Key Responsibilities:Working primarily in the defence sector with staff from the MOD procurement and support organisations, equipment designers and manufacturers in industry and directly with the armed forces, you will be:
- Influencing and contributing to the cost effective through life support of equipment and systems.
- Responsible for the management and coordination of Defence & Equipment Support Operational Delivery Function Through-Life Support activities overing all product lifecycle phases and operational domain equipment and supporting technologies.
- You may be employed in roles such as Integrated Logistic Support Manager and Equipment Support Managers, or you may be responsible for wider MOD Departmental organisations and in roles covering Through Life Capability Management in either capability development or capability management.
Here’s What You’ll Need: - Knowledge and experience in Through Life Capability Management, potentially covering:
- Capability Development within Military Command organisations.
- Capability Development within wider MOD Departments and organisations - Understanding of the application of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Integrated Product Support (IPS) or Supportability Engineering methodologies, techniques, tools and principles.
- Knowledge and experience of working with ILS or IPS Policy, Standards or Specifications such as the Defence Logistic Framework, Def-Stan 00-600 or the ASD IPS S-Series Specifications.
- ILS management experience across any of the following activities:
- Support Concept definition and requirements planning.
- Support solution option assessment, down selection including contract awards.
- Support solution design and development for the customer with suppliers.
- Support solution demonstration, validation and transition into service.
- Optimising availability and support performance through Upkeep, Upgrade or Update programmes.
- Supporting the efficient disposal of equipment at its end of life. - Good verbal and written communication skills.
