Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).

Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:

Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.

Mitigation of orbital conflicts.

Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.

Operations and maintenance of classified communications.

Software development and integration.

NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:

Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado

Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado

Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska

Vandenberg Space Force Base, California

Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world

Description of Duties:

The System Administrator supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:

• Provide advanced Mission Systems monitoring and restoration at the site and enterprise level; managing all mission systems, user accounts, and profiles; receiving/assessing customer trouble-calls. Scheduling and conducting system patches and upgrades.

• Must have the ability to interface with a broad range of customers and effectively communicate, facilitate, and execute operations focused tasks on behalf of mission leadership.

• Properly document, report, and track system incidents and discrepancy reports.

• Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades

• Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues

• Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware

• Performing system backups, recovery, and server builds

• Providing systems administrator support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems

• Managing file servers and network access to include analyzing, troubleshooting, and documenting system anomalies.

• Coordinates and schedules system upgrades and maintenance

**This position reports to the Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station.

Shift work is required to support 24x7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule.

This position will be filled and work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO

Basic Requirements:

• Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret with SCI and NC2 eligibility

• IAT Level II Certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)

• Current NISSC II experience

• 1.5 years of directly related experience.

• 4 years of general work history.

• Experience with system administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.

• Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems (OS) and associated hardware.

• Experience with Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies.

• Experience with Windows System Administration.

Desired Requirements:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)/VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)

• Advanced knowledge with network topologies and protocols.

• Specialized trouble ticket reporting systems experience and skills.

This position is expected to pay $80,000 - $95,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
