Essential Duties & Job Functions:

Responsible for effectively planning, prioritizing, organizing, controlling, reporting, evaluating, and adjusting transportation operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles.

• Manage the transportation employees to ensure work is completed and consistent with the contractual standards.

• Implement transportation-related procedures as well as company revenue goals and customer service objectives.

• Organize repairs and routine maintenance of transportation vehicles.

• Comply with transportation-related policies, as well as safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations.

• Promoting safe work activities by conducting safety audits and attending company safety meetings.

• Lead, supervise, hold accountable, and develop subordinate personnel.

• Understand Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) and Union/Management working relationships.

• Develop and maintain contractually required reports, records, and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, and maintenance activities.

• Develop and maintain good Subcontractor/Vendor relations while ensuring their effective contract conformance.

• Maintain effective communication with senior corporate staff, supervisors, employees, and customers.

• Perform all assigned tasks with confidentiality.

• Always present yourself in a professional manner.

• Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.

Qualifications

  • Experience in large Facility Support Services or Base Operations Support contracts within Transportation function desired; experience in Maximo or another CMMS preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing Transportation Operations in projects of equivalent size, scope, and complexity.


Required:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Submit to and successfully pass Pre-employment Drug Screening and Background Check.
  • United States citizen.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to effectively communicate, both written and verbally.
