Job Summary 

The Accountant III - International Enterprise Accounting is responsible for applying strong accounting and taking ownership of complex accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and play a key role in driving timely and compliant financial reporting and mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvement initiatives. 

Principal Accountabilities 

• Apply thorough knowledge of US GAAP to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions across all ledger accounts. Always maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger. 
• Perform month/quarter/annual close activities which may include analyzing accounts, performing calculations, preparing journal entries, performing payroll and tax reconciliations, flux analysis and resolving issues as needed. 
• Create financial reports and statements that summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position. 
• Perform quality control audits and account reconciliations; Review data for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards/regulations; Ensure issues are resolved. 
• Act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors. Review audit packages, respond to queries, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. 
• Comply with government regulations and internal controls (e.g., SOX). 
• Point of contact for site and customer support for the financial management organization. 
• Mentor and guide Junior Accountants and Accountants providing technical support and knowledge sharing. 
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and AP/AR teams. 
• Act as a consultant to facilitate the implementation of accounting functions during the transition phase of a new task. 
• Position may be assigned to a specific targeted business area and may require additional or specific job duties related to the assigned function that are not aforementioned.

Title of Supervisor: Assistant Manager - International Enterprise Accounting 

Knowledge & Skills  

• Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required. Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) a plus. 
• Demonstrate proficiency in finance and accounting relational databases (Costpoint, Cognos, HFM, and Blackline) and Microsoft applications. 
• Ability to analyze variances to budgets/forecasts/accruals, explain management, and create corrective action plan. 
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. 
• Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. 
• Effective communicator with the ability to present financial data to stakeholders. 
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI and strong knowledge of Access. 
• Ability to manipulate, interpret, and analyze data in Excel. Ability to work with numbers and manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

• Ability to evaluate and apply emerging technologies — Candidates should be comfortable assessing new AI-enabled tools and processes, identifying practical use cases, validating outputs, understanding limitations/risk, and incorporating AI responsibly into day-to-day work. 
• Demonstrated AI fluency and workflow integration — Candidates should have experience using AI tools to enhance workflows, productivity, decision-making, customer experiences, business outcomes, or operational efficiency. 

Experience & Education 

• Four (4) to eight (8) years of progressive accounting experience, with significant exposure to general ledger. 
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (B. Com, BBM, BBA / MBA, M. Com, MSc Accounting & Finance). 
• Professional qualification preferred – CPA/ACCA/CMA (fully or part-qualified). 

Physical Requirements/Working Environment 

Normal office environment.
