About the Opportunity

The Decommissioning Alliance (TDA) is a strategic partnership, operating within the DNWP framework and delivering critical decommissioning work at Sellafield, including the UK’s most challenging Legacy Ponds facilities.

The Role

TDA now have an exciting opportunity for a Commissioning Support Team Member who will act as a key contributor to ensuring Commissioning Start Up activities, processes and test documentation align with Nuclear Site License Condition 21, as well as regulatory and quality standards. The position acts as a link between the Commissioning Start Up team members, the Client and safety/compliance functions to maintain robust oversight of documentation and demonstrate continued regulatory compliance.

As a Commissioning Support Team Member some of your responsibilities could include:

  • Keeping full and accurate records, in compliance with Nuclear Site License Condition 21.

  • Develop, populate and maintain Commissioning Start Up tracking systems for Commissioning Test Documentation (CTD), Fault Observations (FOBs), Temporary Commissioning Aids (TCAs), Transfer Certificates, Quality Plans, Risk Registers and Drawings.

  • Maintaining command and control of Commissioning Test Documentation and associated documents, including reports, from CTD production through to archiving.

  • Provide administration support for the Commissioning Start Up Team, including meeting coordination/secretarial duties and preparation of documentation. 

  • Provide close support to assigned Section Manager and Team Leader to maintain Commissioning support productivity on a designated work stream.

  • Assist and input into internal surveillance audits by demonstrating compliance and ensuring associated documentation is accurate, complete and accessible.

  • Involvement in the periodic review of local procedures with the purpose of developing and improving documentation standards, processes and local templates

As a Commissioning Support Team Member, you will already have strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to issue identification and resolution. You should be adaptable and capable of working efficiently in a dynamic environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. The role requires the ability to competently use, navigate and maintain specialist systems and databases that support Commissioning Start Up activities.
