About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Manager to work on the Hinkley Point C project.
The role of the Construction Manager is site based and will report to the Senior Construction Manager and support the site Construction team.
The candidate will be required to work in line with the Amentum construction team's working rotation. This consists of 10 days on site and a four-day weekend, starting on a Tuesday and finishing the following Thursday. The candidate will receive overtime and weekend pay rates in line with the site ESCA agreement.
Chair PLOD, PLOW and 4WLA meetings, setting clear priorities and site direction.
Accountable for safe, timely and quality delivery in line with programme and client expectations.
Manage multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors to drive delivery.
Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, HPC requirements and company procedures
Approve and oversee RAMS, ensuring safe execution of all works.
Liaise with the Compound Manager to align materials, plant and logistics with programme needs.
Work with HSE and Quality teams to maintain safety standards and right-first-time delivery.
Engage and build strong relationships with client managers, regulators and stakeholders, including internal management.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Recognised qualification in construction (C&G/Degree/HNC/HND or NVQ L6) is required
Proven track record of successful delivery in a highly regulated environment.
Hands on Construction Management Experience in accordance with the CDM Regulations 2015.
Experience in the Nuclear and Defence sector with a demonstrable knowledge across the industry including the commercial drivers and key influencers.
Experience in undertaking Principal Contractor duties.
CITB SMSTS or IOSH managing safely
High Level of Computer literacy.
