About the Role

Reporting to Finance Business Partner Lead (Solid Line) and VP for the Division (Dotted Line)
Interfacing with Members of the Divisional Leadership team and Finance Function community including the other Finance Business Partners, FP&A, Shared Service, Tax & Treasury teams

Leading finance business partnering support to the Division as an integral part of the divisional management teams providing finance and decision-making support, to drive overall business performance improvement

  • To be a trusted business advisor whilst also being a custodian of the financial numbers

  • To provide challenge into the business where appropriate

  • To understand, and utilise that understanding, the activities, resources, markets, strategy, and growth plans of the business 

Accountabilities:

  • Consolidation of accounts at a Divisional, Business and PU level

  • Detailed understanding of financial detail at project, PU & plan levels

  • Able to differentiate between Project and Margin follows the person P&L activity

  • Compliance with SOX requirements 

Responsibilities:
Support for existing performance and outlook review through:

  • Reporting of current performance leading the preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reports

  • Enabling clear understanding of management information to help support the business and enable accurate and timely decision making

  • Forecasting of future performance coordinating reforecasting exercises

  • Leading the annual plan process, and quarterly forecasting processes

  • Leading operational cash and working capital management

  • Leading finance support for commercial reviews and contract bidding 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Driving underlying business processes to gain efficiencies

  • Supporting integration activities as required

  • Supporting SOX implementation and compliance

  • Driving business process improvement initiatives

  • Driving consistency of financial reporting across the different operations

Here’s What You’ll Need 

  • Qualified Accountant - CIMA, ACA or ACCA

  • Systems experience – ERPs, Hyperion, Office365 suite

  • Effective team player with the ability to interface proactively at all levels

  • Strong influencing skills & ability to build relationships across business areas

  • Deadline orientated with the ability to be able to work under pressure

  • Self-starter and be able to work on own initiative
