The Senior HR Generalist provides high level effective human resources professional support while managing a wide range of HR functions across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, benefit administration, compliance, and employee relations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Hiring: Partners with program hiring manager on hiring needs and serves as a liaison for successful posting, coordinating interviews, hiring, and orienting new team members.
Onboarding and Orientation: Will facilitate onboarding, processing new hires in Workday, assisting new hires with benefit enrollment, and introducing company policies and culture.
Employee Relations: Serves as point of contact for managers and employees, as needed regarding employee relations issues, to include but not limited to addressing employee concerns, mediating conflicts, managing performance improvement plans, and maintaining a professional and neutral approach in sensitive situations.
Serves as an internal resource to solve more difficult problems related to functional HR areas.
Maintains knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, and state and federal labor laws applicable to assigned areas of responsibility.
Supports a variety of employment/ HR activities for the designated program(s).
Responsible for the HR function between assigned strategic business group, third party administrators and corporate office.
Ensures execution of corporate HR programs such as annual training requirements, benefits enrollment, merit increases, management incentives, performance management, and community service activities
Creates and maintains HR files and updates the information system in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field. .
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Human Resources.
Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources may be substituted for each year of the Associate’s degree.
Advanced knowledge of Human Resources functions.
Experience working in a customer oriented professional environment.
Proven organization skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining timeliness and accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to meet goals while working under limited supervision.
Must be able to handle confidential information and exercise discretionary judgment.
General computer skills, including spreadsheets, PowerPoint and HRMS.
Demonstrated record of accomplishments in applying HR concepts to difficult and complex assignments.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management.
Experience in Workday.
Experience working in a union environment.
Federal government contracting industry experience is highly preferred.
Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.

Compensation Details:
$75,000 - $85,000
