About The Opportunity:

As part of our expanding footprint in the region, we are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead all Health, Safety and Environmental activities on a major infrastructure project. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the successful delivery of the project through effective risk management and HSE governance. Working closely with project leadership, contractors, and stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental performance from project mobilisation through to completion.
Develop, implement, and maintain the Project HSE Management Plan.
Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE legislation, standards, and client requirements.
Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across the project.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
Lead toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and workforce engagement initiatives.
Monitor and manage high-risk activities including working at height, lifting operations, excavation works, confined spaces, electrical works, and plant operations.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Monitor HSE performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage environmental compliance, including waste management and pollution prevention programmes.
Review and approve contractor HSE documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
Verify training, competence, and certification compliance across the workforce.
Coordinate emergency response planning and site drills.
Provide regular HSE reporting and guidance to project leadership and stakeholders.
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
NEBOSH Diploma, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, or an equivalent professional qualification.
Professional membership with IOSH, IIRSM, ASSP, or a similar recognised body is desirable.
Minimum of 10 years' HSE experience within construction, infrastructure, or industrial environments.
At least 5 years' experience in an HSE leadership or management role.
Proven experience managing HSE programmes on large, complex construction projects.
Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
Experience managing contractor and subcontractor HSE performance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong incident investigation, root cause analysis, and risk management capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management systems.
Ability to influence behaviours, challenge unsafe practices, and foster a strong safety culture across diverse teams.
