  • Works under the direction of a Project Manager, Law Clerk II, Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor.
  • Performs document review on assigned cases using Relativity.
  • Document review includes review for relevance, privilege and discovery support.
  • Performs simple and to moderately complex legal research for the attorney team’s staff.
  • May assist in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc. reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.

Qualifications:

  • Requires Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one (1) year of study or, an equivalent level six (6) years of legal training or experience may be substituted, or an equivalent level of education may be substituted.
  • Requires prior experience with large document review projects using Relativity.
  • Must be able to navigate review windows, conduct searches and tagging documents in Relativity.
  • Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
  • Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
  • Role also requires hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • This position supports an SCA (Service Contract Act) contract; therefore, the hourly wage is determined by the Department of Labor.

*Employees will earn H&W dollars per eligible hour (including vacation and holiday up to 40 hours/week). H&W monies are used to offset the employer’s cost of benefits the employee elects into and/or utilizes. Any remaining health and welfare monies after all applicable deductions would be cashed out to the employee on a 1 pay period lag.
