We are currently seeking talented, enthusiastic, and dynamic individuals to support DARPA in formulating, coordinating, monitoring, and transitioning advanced research and development programs to the U.S. military. Candidate will serve as a subject-matter-expert in the areas of maintenance and logistics, supply chain management, manufacturing, and airworthiness.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee performer processes, tooling, materials, schedules, and suppliers required to fabricate and assemble prototype air vehicles and subsystems within program cost and schedule constraints
- Research and procure ensuring accountability, shipping, and disposition of aircraft parts, consumables, fuel, pyrotechnics, and support equipment through DoW supply chains
- Coordinate with a wide range of weapons systems program offices, Air Logistics Complexes, Fleet Readiness Centers, and product centers to obtain technical data, engineering drawings and specifications, and related publications to support DARPA technical research efforts
- Support all phases of technology project acquisitions to include technical reviews, cost analysis, source-selections, and program management reviews
- Support test plan development, readiness reviews, and resource requirements for subsystem component testing, system verification testing, and demonstrations
- Support weekly cross-functional technical coordination, interchange meetings, and major program design reviews throughout program lifecycle
- Develop certification plans in accordance with current military certification standards, reviewing documentation, and reporting findings to leadership
- Author program status briefings and technical reports
- Travel up to 50% of work schedule to participate in prime contractor and major supplier meetings, site surveys, and test events
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in the specified field with 10+ years of experience. Specific relevant experience may be used to offset years of experience for highly qualified individuals.
- Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. Please Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
- Demonstrated experience working with USAF and/or USN logistics support agencies to requisition (return for repair) parts and materials.
- Demonstrated experience with USAF/USN Time Compliance Technical Order systems.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing or performing lifecycle logistics, maintenance, manufacturing, and test & evaluation tasks supporting critical aviation technology prototype development programs
- Demonstrated experience coordinating basing requirements including facilities, parts, material, fuel, support equipment, transportation, and local support for test & evaluation activities
- Demonstrated knowledge of Air Force and NAVAIR technical data repositories such as Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS), NATEC Technical Manual Application System (TMAPS), or Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS)
- Demonstrated experience working in a Special Access Program (SAP) environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience serving as a Government Ground Representative (GGR) in accordance with DCMA Instruction 8210-1D, Contractor’s Flight and Ground Operations
- 15 years’ experience performing or leading maintenance, logistics, and supply chain management activities on developmental aircraft and related subsystems
- Experience applying systems engineering methods and tools to the development of aerospace systems, including certification, qualification, and operational clearance
- Experience supporting Government Program Managers and integrated product teams through daily technical coordination and program execution, with demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve technical, financial, and programmatic challenges
Compensation Details:
$150,000 - $200,000
