Amentum is seeking an MRO Inventory Coordinator to join our Commercial Operations & Maintenance team in Moline, IL.

  • Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, workdays and hours may vary based on critical business demand. 
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required. 

The MRO Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing the procurement, inventory control, and distribution of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials required to support plant operations. This role works closely with maintenance teams, vendors, and operations personnel to ensure critical parts, tools, PPE, and supplies are available when needed. The position combines purchasing responsibilities with inventory management, storeroom organization, and maintenance planning support to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Purchase maintenance parts, tools, PPE, and shop supplies.
  • Maintain inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stocked items.
  • Kit and stage parts for maintenance work orders.
  • Update the CMMS with part availability, order status, and estimated delivery dates.
  • Manage vendor relationships, purchase orders, and order tracking activities.
  • Ensure maintenance technicians have the required materials available for planned work.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
  • Organize and maintain an efficient, clean, and accurate storeroom environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and maintenance operations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college university and/or equivalent

  • Five years related maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.

  • Must have computer skills, database knowledge, solid communication skills to communicate with Internal Customers and External Vendors.

  • Must be able to read analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Maximo, OnPoint, Costpoint and Microsoft Suite

Additional Information:

  • This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.

  • This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.

  • Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.

  • Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.

  • Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.

  • Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.

  • Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.

  • Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.  

  • Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.

  • Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

Special Requirements:

  • Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

  • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

Other Attributes:

  • Must be willing to work overtime when required.  May be required to work holidays and weekends.

       

Compensation Details:

$29 -$31
