About the Opportunity

As a Digital Project Controls Consultant, you will work across major capital programmes supporting the transformation of programme delivery through the implementation of digital project controls environments This role combines practical project controls experience with digital transformation and technology implementation skills. You will work with programme delivery teams to improve the way cost, schedule, risk and performance reporting are managed through the adoption of Integrated Project Controls platforms and digital PMO systems Working within the Digital and Data Solutions Group under Programme Controls Technology capability, you will collaborate with project controls professionals, programme delivery teams and technology specialists to implement digital solutions that enhance programme delivery and improve investment outcomes.

We are have one vacancy based in Manchester and one vacancy based in London. These will be hybrid roles with travel to client sites needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and configuration of Digital Project Controls platforms across programmes and portfolios.

  • Apply practical project controls knowledge to support the configuration and optimisation of systems covering cost management, planning, risk and performance reporting.

  • Support the design and alignment of programme controls data structures including WBS, CBS and integrated coding frameworks.

  • Assist clients in improving project controls processes and embedding them into digital delivery platforms.

  • Support the development and implementation of Integrated Project Controls environments across portfolio, programme and project levels.

  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives within PMO and project controls functions including process improvement and operating model design.

  • Support integration of project controls systems with Common Data Environments, reporting platforms and other programme delivery systems.

  • Assist in developing dashboards, reporting environments and performance analytics to support programme decision making.

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • Practical experience working within project controls environments covering cost, schedule, risk or performance reporting.

  • Experience supporting capital projects or programmes in sectors such as infrastructure, defence, nuclear, aviation or utilities.

  • Understanding of project controls processes including planning, cost management, forecasting and performance reporting.

  • Experience working with digital project controls or programme delivery platforms.

  • Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives or process improvement within PMO or project controls environments.

  • Ability to work with structured programme data and support reporting and performance analysis.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work within complex programme delivery environments.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present programme performance data.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with project controls or programme delivery systems such as EcoSys, Oracle P6,Unifier & OPC, Contruent Enterprise, Sterling Cost & Carbon or similar platforms.

  • Familiarity with reporting and data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms advantageous.

  • Experience supporting digital transformation or system implementation initiatives within programme delivery environments.

  • Knowledge of project controls frameworks and Integrated Project Controls principles.

  • Experience working with diagramming or modelling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart or Draw.io beneficial.

  • Familiarity with system integration principles or digital delivery environments..

  • APM, PMI or equivalent professional certification desirable.

  • Degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar discipline advantageous.
