Production Control Clerk / Service Writer

Amentum is seeking a Production Control Clerk / Service Writer to support a unique US Navy
program on the island of Diego Garcia. The Production Control Clerk is responsible for creating,
updating, and data input of custom reports/information databases used for the purpose of
monitoring/inducting of military and civilian equipment. Works directly with the Production Control
Supervisor and the Maintenance Manager.
Job Responsibilities:

• · Input, update and export information in/with GCSS Army or government approved LIS.
• · Performs accurate data entry and reporting of vehicles assigned to the program are performed 100% of the time.
• · Generate custom equipment tracking databases/spreadsheets.
• · Provide logistical/administrative support to management.
• · Create, update, and deliver reports to management.
• · Supports / participates in the Company Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and QA Program.
• · Ensure all records of maintenance are maintained in historical jackets and within the computerized maintenance management system GCSS-ARMY and other approved systems, to include requests for disposition, classification, controlled exchange, and cannibalization documentation.
• · Mentors and assists with on-the-job training and cross-training.
• · Comply with all Company rules, policies and procedures.
• · Favorably interacts with internal / external customers
• · Required to comply with all occupational safety and health standards, rules, and orders applicable to their actions and conduct. The role demands consistent, proper use of
• personal protective equipment (PPE), proactive reporting of workplace hazards, and total adherence to safety protocols to maintain a zero-injury environment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.

Required Qualifications:

• · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• · Must understand and be able to use technical manuals.
• · Field of Expertise: Supply and maintenance interaction.
• · Must be experienced in computer and office machine usage.
• Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
• · High school diploma or equivalent.

Required qualifications

Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.

Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.

Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.

Working Environment

This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements. 

Physical Requirements

Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
