Our NORAD Operations Group

Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).

Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:

  • Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
  • Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
  • Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
  • Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
  • Software development and integration.

NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:

  • Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
  • Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
  • Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
  • Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
  • Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world

Description of Duties:

The Program Executive Assistant provides senior level administrative assistance of substantial variety and complexity for the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager. Serves as an organizational authority in areas of administrative responsibility. Develops, recommends, and implements timely completion of functions to satisfy the company’s requirements, which may include scheduling of material, man-hours, or information services. Close liaison is established and maintained with internal organizations, and external firms or agencies. Typical duties are as follows:

  • Prepares and conducts briefings or presentations in areas of specialty.
  • Advises with management on business activities 
  • Consults with specialists and managers regarding potential business systems improvements. 
  • Works on special assignments coordinating actions to correct problems, and documents subsequent revisions to procedures 
  • Independently assist managers and professionals in preparing reports, agendas, presentations, and correspondence materials, operate presentation equipment, collect action items, and ensure follow-up and research; able to balance changing and competing priorities 
  • Work with and maintain confidential, proprietary, and sensitive information 
  • Take ownership of requests; tailor solutions to the situation; be timely in follow-up; resourceful in information gathering 
  • Coordinate travel schedules and prepare expense reports for the Directors, Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager 
  • Facilitate and prepare leadership meetings: coordinate schedules while balancing competing priorities
  • Plans events for the NISSC II Program and coordinates Amentum Corporate led events
  • Closely coordinates schedules and communicates with appropriate client stakeholders with utmost professionalism
  • Have the proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion 
  • Be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response 
  • Highly organized with attention to detail 

This position is expected to pay $85,000-$100,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

This position will be filled and work onsite at Colorado Springs, CO

Basic Requirements:

  • Clearance Requirements: Ability to Acquire Secret 
  • Educational Requirements: AS or BS/BA preferred 
  • Certification Requirements: N/A 
  • 6-9 years of progressive and relevant experience, education may be substituted for experience. 
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and have frequent interaction with senior management and staff from across the contract and customers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation Details:

$40.86 to $48.08 an hour
