The Quality Assurance Supervisor oversees the quality assurance and safety programs, to include policies, processes, procedures and controls. Ensures contract performance conforms to established standards and governmental agency guidelines, guaranteeing lasting customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervise quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) functions for assigned program in accordance with applicable customer regulations. Provide guidance and direction to achieve compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Provide on the job training to quality inspectors.
  • Coordinate and perform audits on Quality/Safety/Environmental programs and develop trend analysis reports.
  • Conduct quality and safety inspections/audits of contract operations and subcontractors.
  • Prepare, maintain, enforce, and update the QC plans to drive performance using applicable ISO standards across the program.
  • Establish and communicate program metrics as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and disseminates safety-related bulletins, technical changes and literature to work site personnel.
  • Empower workforce with stop work authority for quality breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure OSHA, FOD, mishap, injury, incident, HAZMAT and adverse trend reporting. As needed, oversees and investigates mishaps and injuries.
  • Provide response to customer concerns and findings. Track corrective actions taken in response to internal and customer audit findings.
  • Monitor quality deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Provide leadership and knowledge to staff members and teams as necessary.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a needed suitability clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline.  Two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
  • Six (6) years progressively responsible experience in quality assurance and inspection.
  • Previous experience supervising quality assurance personnel.
  • Knowledge of equipment related to individual specialty codes.
  • Knowledge of applicable publications, drawings, diagrams and schematics.
  • Knowledge of customer and/or company forms required by work requirements.
  • Ability and experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Generally, works in normal office environment, but may be required to travel domestically and internationally on short notice, to austere environments, under harsh living conditions. 
  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental

Compensation Details:

$83,000 - $89,000
