The Toolroom Attendant is responsible for support of highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Receives, stocks, controls, and inventories tools, Technical Orders (T.O.’s) and support equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Issues tools, T.O’s, test equipment, test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) and support equipment from the tool room and maintains strict accountability.
  • Performs preventative and minor maintenance on tools and support equipment.
  • Ensures tools and support equipment is clean, oiled, and serviceable.
  • Inputs data in Maintenance Information System.
  • Marks and identifies tools and equipment for quick inventory.
  • Controls calibration schedules for TMDE and ensures overdue calibration items are removed from service and sent for testing.
  • Performs Equipment Custodian duties and manages the Custodian Authorization/Custody Receipt Listing (CA/CRL).
  • Performs duties as building custodian to include Escort duties, Zamboni operator.
  • Assists Safety representative in snow removal.
  • Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times.
  • May perform other duties related to the classification as assigned to include temporary duty and travel.
  • Must be able to work day, swing, night, and/or weekend shifts as required. Receives CUT training and is qualified to perform maintenance tasks associated within classification.
  • Must maintain training qualifications.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must meet physical requirements, occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance and flight line driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and Government. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a flightline driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of applicable Government documents, directives, and technical orders is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), repair cycle system and basic aircraft / engine components is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Tool Control Management (TCMax) is preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous materials is preferred.
  • Minimum of one-year recent experience working with MIS/SBSS interface or related computer experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Fed Log system is preferred.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $37.79
