The APOLLO Task Order (TO) is to provide USCENTCOM, its mission partners, and their respective service and functional components with enhanced capabilities to execute Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) and Irregular Warfare (IW), leveraging AI for dynamic decision-making and data integration. This TO will provide USCENTCOM and its mission partners with planning, operations, assessment, and mission-enabling services to support mission execution and deter threats to U.S. national security. The scope of this TO is to provide USCENTCOM and its mission partners with coordinated and synchronized OIE and IW operations across geographic regions, functions, domains, the electromagnetic spectrum, and time. Integration is required spatially, functionally, and temporally to create cumulative, reinforcing effects.

Apollo FAQs

Most roles require U.S. citizenship due to security clearance requirements. In rare operational exceptions, non-U.S. citizens may serve with appropriate waivers and host nation approvals, but must meet all legal, SOFA, and security requirements.

The Apollo contract requires personnel with expertise supporting Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) and Irregular Warfare (IW). In particular, the following skillsets are in high demand:

Personnel with regional expertise, advanced technology acumen, and multilingual capabilities are highly desirable.

Personnel may be assigned to:

All work will support DoD/CCMD objectives in OIE/IW, requiring adaptability, confidentiality, regional and cultural awareness, and adherence to government standards.

Positions may be based both within the United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). Geographic Areas of Responsibility (AOR) include support to:

  • USCENTCOM (Middle East, Central/South Asia, NE Africa)
    USAFRICOM (Africa)
    USEUCOM (Europe, part of Middle East, Russia)
    USINDOPACOM (Asia-Pacific, incl. India, Oceania)
    USNORTHCOM (CONUS, North America, Caribbean)
    USSOUTHCOM (Latin America, Caribbean)
    USCYBERCOM & USSTRATCOM (global functional)

Headquarters/Primary Location:
MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), Tampa, FL.

Travel and periodic deployments to partner nation locations are likely; assignment locations will depend on mission needs and contractor roles.

Minimum for all Key Personnel: TOP SECRET clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.


Additional Security Requirements:

  • Facility clearance at the Secret level (for the organization)
  • Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), NATO, NOFORN, Foreign Government Information may be required for some roles
  • Compliance with National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM), DoD/Agency guidelines
  • CAC (Common Access Card) and successful background check(s) per DoDM 5200.02 for site/network access

Note: Security clearance costs are generally the responsibility of the contractor; personnel must be eligible and willing to undergo necessary investigations.

Yes, many positions will require temporary duty travel (TDY) or deployments, especially in support of OCONUS AORs.


Key deployment and travel policies:

  • Pre-deployment Medical & Dental Clearance: Must meet fitness standards as defined by DoDI 3020.41 and USCENTCOM policy.
  • Mandatory pre-deployment training: As set by USCENTCOM Joint Exercise Division (J57).
    Rest and Recuperation (R&R): For 12+ month assignments OCONUS as per Joint Travel Regulations.
  • Danger and Hardship Pay: Authorized for assignments to areas designated by the Department of State (DOS) as eligible for such pay.
  • Deployment Length: Typically deployments for >30 days, with annual/periodic fitness for duty reviews.

All deployments are subject to applicable Status of Forces Agreements (SOFAs), local host country requirements, and compliance with relevant US/Government guidance.

  • Living Quarters Allowance (LQA): Reimbursed as per DoS Standardized Regulations, up to prescribed location-specific max for eligible grades.
  • Education Allowances: For dependents, in accordance with DoS regulations and local limitations.
  • Per Diem: Follows Federal/Joint Travel Regulations and includes adjustments for long-term TDY.
  • Danger/Hardship Pay: Provided in locations as per DoS and JTR guidance.
  • Medical Evacuation/Insurance: Must have Defense Base Act (DBA) insurance; medical evacuation coverage mandatory.
  • Relocation/Repatriation: Costs covered with service commitment, per contract.

Key Roles Required:

  • Task Order Program Manager (TOPM): Must be employee of prime contractor, have TS/SCI, full-time, and respond to MacDill AFB within 2 hours as required.
  • Up to 3 additional Key Personnel (contractor selects), all with TS/SCI eligibility.


Desired for management roles:

  • Experience at multiple CONUS/OCONUS sites within specified AORs
  • Demonstrated contract/program/project management (PMP/PgMP certification)
  • Experience working under SOFA/with diplomatic clearances

Key personnel assignments are expected for the contract duration.

Language capabilities are highly desirable for many roles, especially those supporting media, intelligence, analysis, or regionally engaged work. Arabic, Farsi, Dari, Pashto, French, Russian, Chinese, and various African/Asian languages are considered valuable.

Medical/Dental: Pre-deployment health screening and periodical reassessment for extended tours


Vaccinations and prophylaxis: As required per location


Mandatory training: Pre-deployment and recurring annual (operational/security/force protection, counterintelligence, Privacy Act, etc.)


Personal fitness: Must be able to perform required tasks under austere/field conditions

All Apollo personnel must comply with:

  • NISPOM, FAR, DFARS, DoD/CCMD security policies
  • Strict non-disclosure and organizational conflict of interest (OCI) requirements
  • Proper ID badge/badge protocol and professional self-identification as contractor
  • No unauthorized disclosure of Government (classified or CUI) information
  • Compliance with local laws/SOFAs and U.S. legal requirements

While deployed, the Government may provide:

  • Field living conditions comparable to US personnel
  • Emergency medical/dental care
  • Mail/laundry/internet/Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR)
  • Security, if conditions warrant


However, contractors must acknowledge the risks and hardships of deployment, and the Government assumes no financial liability for injury, loss, or hostage situations.
